\ NEW MUSIC: I PREVAIL - The Adventures of Charlotte

This week we're delving into a band that followed me on Twitter a while ago, I briefly followed them until I heard their cover of Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' on on Punk Goes Pop 6 back in 2015 which was when I began to become a much more active listener. They recently released their new track, 'Scars' which is an absolute killer of a track.

So you may have seen these guys around on social media, forming in 2013 they have made a massive impact in the post-hardcore/metalcore industry, more recently when they signed to Fearless Records (home of August Burns Red, Pierce The Veil, Real Friends, Tonight Alive and many more).

If you like a mixture of aggressive rock, electronic arrangements and seamless melodic elements then I PREVAIL are most certainly worth a listen - a lot of people think so too, they're Taylor Swift cover has been watch around 17 million times with over 250,000 copies sold and over half a million likes on Facebook! They're a perfect mix of all things heavy with catchy, melodic lyrics and fantastic riffs.

Hailing from the United States the band have made a huge impact on the industry in their home country and keep cropping up more and more here in the UK. After releasing their first EP, 'Heart Vs Mind' back in 2014, they are now on the road to releasing their debut album, 'Lifelines' which is due for release on the 21st October 2016.

Scars itself will feature on the album and is already available to buy (check out the links at the bottom of this post). This track has been on repeat in my car since it was released. It is 3 minutes 50 seconds of pure excellence, a track that is completely and utterly flawless in my eyes.

Shared nearly 100,000 times on Facebook alone, this track has been an instant hit both across social media and in the rock charts across the pond. The track is a masterpiece both lyrically and the overall sound. Brian and Eric's vocals compliment each other perfectly in combination with a fantastic set of lyrics. The chorus itself just catches you from the first note and has you completely hooked. Check out the track and video below!

Those living in America can catch I Prevail on the back end of their headliner tour or on Journey's Made To Destroy Tour supporting Pierce The Veil alongside Neck Deep - check out the website for more details but for now, enjoy Scars and make sure you check out Lifelines when it is released in October!
